We can provide the working potter an outlet for your work where the
costs are much less than selling through a bricks and mortar gallery. Does the
expense and time required to do the art fair circuit cut deeply into your
profit and time?
For the 'teaching potter' who doesn't produce enough
work to keep a bricks and mortar gallery supplied and not enough time to do
fairs/shows. Studio Pottery dot US may be just right for you.
We can
provide the collector a way to raise a few dollars to buy something new or just
clear the overcrowded (been there done that) shelves.
This site will
focus on 'functional art' which is well rooted in the historical pottery making
traditions. There is a gay area where it is hard to tell if a work is a pot or
sculpture and we will leave the world of pure sculpture to other
venues.
I will always have the final say about what is or is not
presented here. It is not worth the trouble shipping and dealing with
communications for low priced items therefore anything selling for under $75
will be discouraged. Prices for
NEW WORK offered here will be
FIRM and offers will not be accepted. This does not prevent
the seller from having a sale or marking prices down.
